    Bloodborne Pathogens - 1 Year Certification

    Required for: Those with "Occupational Exposure" to blood or other potentially infectious materials. This program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030). Students learn how to reduce risk of exposure and handle infectious materials.

    Running Time: 1-2 Hours

    Training Prerequisites and Specifics
    Bloodborne Pathogen (or Blood Borne Pathogen) training is a standard for people who have a reasonable, even the slightest chance, of coming into contact with blood or blood containing materials as part of their job functions. Some jobs may include (but are not limited to): Childcare workers, correctional officers, security guards, school personnel, hotel/motel personnel, maintenance workers, health and fitness club staff, tattoo artists, and anyone working in the medical field. While this list is not all inclusive, it serves as a purpose to start identifying who needs Bloodborne Pathogen Training.

    In this class students learn how to identify potential materials, protect themselves when dealing with any kind of exposure, clean both themselves and the contaminated materials, and how to report any exposure.
